The Board’s role is to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Ayrshire & Arran through robust and accountable corporate governance. In doing so, NHS Ayrshire & Arran provides a vast range of health services to more than a quarter of a million people.

Remuneration and time commitment:   £9,030 per annum (non-pensionable) is payable for a time commitment of around eight hours per week (52 days per year).  Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

 

Location:  The Board is based at Eglinton House, Ailsa Hospital, in Ayr. Board meetings are held in a hybrid format. The expectation is that the work will be a blend of virtual and physical meetings. A physical presence will be required to be able to carry out the full range of Board activities including workshops and visits to facilities.

Wednesday 11 September 6.30 – 7.30pm

Interviews:  Interviews will be held virtually using Microsoft Teams on 21 and 22 October and 1 November 2024.

  • Ability to challenge constructively
  • Analysis and decision making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively

 

Desirable criterion:

  • Understanding of health and care service delivery issues affecting rural, remote and dispersed communities
